Four Schools Win $4000 in Video Production Gear as Winners of National Educational Video Competition are Chosen

Public Schools in California, Florida, and Minnesota Win Recognition In FOCUS Enhancements' Annual "Thoughts & Dreams'' Competition

CAMPBELL, Calif. - June 21, 2001 - FOCUS Enhancements, a leading video technology company, today announced the winners of this years Seventh Annual 2001 "Thoughts & Dreams'' Educational Video Contest.

The contest winners are Lake Weir High School in Ocala, Florida, for its claymation video "A Day With Dr. Yankem''; Eastview High School in Apple Valley, Minnesota, for its music video "Santa Rap''; Sullivan Middle School in Bonsall, California, for its documentary video on "Our Changing World''; and Echo Horizon Elementary School in Culver City, California, for its futuristic sci-fi documentary "How Our Transportation Came To Be". The contest makes two awards to high schools and one each to a middle and elementary school. The two high school entry categories are for video produced with linear and non-linear production systems. Copies of the winning videos have been posted on the FOCUS Enhancements web site at: http://www.focusinfo.com/educators/.

The winning schools will receive a suite of products from FOCUS Enhancements, Panasonic Broadcast & Television Systems Company and Pinnacle Systems, Inc. Contest winners will receive one of each of the following: a Videonics MXProDV Digital Video Mixer, a FOCUS Enhancements TView Gold Scan Converter, a Panasonic AG-DV1000 Mini-DV Video Recorder, Pinnacle Systems' Studio DV and Pinnacle Systems' StudioDC10 Plus.
